Wahiba Sands is one of the most iconic desert regions in Oman. It stretches for about 200 kilometers, and the sand dunes can reach up to 100 meters high. The desert is at its best at sunrise or sunset, when the dunes start to shimmer. Try an adventure in a hot air balloon or race down the impressive dunes in a 4×4. Then, spend the night right in the heart of the desert, where the silence is deafening and the starry sky is breathtaking.
